Storyline

Bhaijaan is an self-defense trainer, who lives happily with his brothers and uses violence to settle disputes with anyone but decides to mend his ways for his Telugu-based girlfriend Bhagyalaxmi. However, Bhaijaan learns that Bhagyalaxmi’s family is in trouble due to their past rival with “Rowdy” Anna and sets out to protect them without their knowledge.

About Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan Movie

Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan (KBKJ) is a Hindi action comedy film directed by Farhad Samji and produced by Salman Khan Films. A remake of the 2014 Tamil film Veeram, it stars Salman Khan, Pooja Hegde, and Venkatesh in lead roles.

Initially, Samji planned to remake Veeram as Bachchhan Paandey with Akshay Kumar but later adapted the script to remake Jigarthanda instead. He then reworked Veeram‘s storyline and pitched it to Salman Khan, who accepted the project. Originally announced as Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali in January 2020 under Sajid Nadiadwala’s banner, the film later shifted to Salman Khan Films after Nadiadwala exited.

Despite being planned in early 2020, the film faced delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In August 2022, the final title, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, was confirmed. Pooja Hegde was cast as the female lead, marking her first collaboration with Khan.

Filming began on 12 May 2022 in Mumbai, followed by schedules in Hyderabad and Ladakh. Large sets were built, including a South Indian village backdrop for Venkatesh’s introduction. The film’s action sequences were choreographed by Anbariv, while Jani Master choreographed a reshot song featuring 800 dancers in November 2022. The shoot wrapped in February 2023.

Post-production, including editing and VFX, commenced in September 2022. Salman Khan personally edited the first cut before re-editing with Bunty Negi. The final version was submitted to the CBFC in April 2023, receiving a U/A certificate with a runtime of 144 minutes.

Promotions began in August 2022 with a first-look reveal. The teaser launched on 25 January 2023 and was attached to Pathaan screenings. The official trailer was released on 10 April 2023 at a Mumbai multiplex event.

The track “Naiyo Lagda” created a record for reaching 40 million views, within 24 hours of its release. The song has also become the fastest Hindi film song to reach 2 million Reels on Instagram. The song was one of the most viewed music videos on YouTube in 2023. The second song “Billi Billi” went viral for its hook step, further boosting anticipation, and also garnered over 40 million views, within 24 hours of its release.
