Raid 2 Storyline

It is a sequel to the 2018 film Raid. Similar to the previous film, the sequel is also inspired by an income tax raid carried out by officers from the Income Tax Department, who collaborate with intelligence agencies to track down white-collar crimes.

About Raid 2 Movie

Raid 2 is an upcoming Hindi crime thriller film directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, who co-wrote the script with Ritesh Shah, Karan Vyas, and Jaideep Yadav. It is a sequel to the 2018 film Raid.

Ajay Devgn reprises his role as Amay Patnaik from the prequel. In January 2024, Riteish Deshmukh joined the cast as the villain, while Vaani Kapoor was cast opposite Devgn, replacing Ileana D’Cruz.

The film was officially announced in April 2020, with pre-production starting in August 2022. Principal photography commenced in January 2024, with filming locations including Mumbai, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan. The primary shoot began in April 2024, followed by patchwork in late May 2024, leading the project into post-production.

Raid 2 Movie Release Date

Raid 2 is scheduled for release on May 1, 2025. Initially set for a theatrical release on November 15, 2024, and later rescheduled to February 21, 2025, the release date was ultimately deferred to its current date.
