The movie takes place at the “Music Battle Awards 2025,” a big music event where Japan’s three biggest record companies—KEY TIME, SSS Music, and V-EX—compete for supremacy. Entering the contest, Kongming and Eiko confront rivals Jun Sima and his sister Shin, descendants of Kongming’s legendary adversary Sima Yi. With 18 original songs and vivid imagery that transforms theaters into a music festival experience, the film mixes comedy, music, and drama.

Ya Boy Kongming! Storyline (Plot)
The story follows Zhuge Kongming, a legendary military strategist from China’s Three Kingdoms era, who dies in 234 AD and wishes to be reborn in a peaceful world. Miraculously, he is reincarnated in his youth in modern-day Shibuya, Tokyo, right in the middle of a Halloween party. Confused but undeterred, Kongming quickly befriends Eiko Tsukimi, an aspiring singer. Using his ancient tactical genius, Kongming becomes her manager, applying battlefield strategies to help Eiko navigate the cutthroat Japanese music industry and pursue her dream of stardom
