Valimai Movie (2022):

Valimai is an upcoming Tamil action thriller film, starring Ajith Kumar, Huma Qureshi and Kartikeya Gummakonda. The film was released on 24 February 2022. The film was also in the news due to the persuasion of fans to launch an update regarding the project, as a result, being listed as one of “the most-anticipated Tamil films” according to the trade circuits.

The film Valimai is written and directed by H. Vinoth, and produced by Zee Studios and Boney Kapoor under the banner of Bayview Projects LLP. The film’s music is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, whilst cinematography is performed by Nirav Shah and edited by Vijay Velukutty. Major portions of the film were shot across Chennai and Hyderabad, in addition to a few sequences in Russia.

Valimai Movie Story (Plot):

In the city of Chennai, a gang of daredevil bikers are doing drug thefts, chain snatching and murders. They are all members of Satan’s Slave, headed by Naren a.k.a. Wolfranga. In order to stop all these ever-growing crimes, ACP Arjun Kumar IPS, a police officer from Madurai is summoned. Satan’s Slave gang is strongly connected within the system of a police force as two higher officials, Sashana and Sarkar are also part of this gang.

During one such drug theft, a gang member betrays and hides the stolen cocaine in his friend’s hostel. However, that friend kills himself and burns the drug. While investigating, Arjun and his partner Sophia find traces of burnt drugs and from the deceased helmet, one slip is found. After more investigation, it is found out that they do all these illegal activities on bikes which they buy from a second-hand bike dealing company and they use stolen mobile numbers to order.

They also use the dark web to carry out their all operations. After checking case details it is found that there is a pattern, like they steal one day, the next day they commit murder and the next day they snatch chains and they buy bikes before doing these crimes.

Valimai was released on 24 February 2022. The movie is not available on the video streaming OTT platforms Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+. After the theatrical release, the film will be streamed on OTT platforms.

The entire rights of the film were owned by its co-producer and distributor Zee Studios, the production and distribution firm of Zee Entertainment Enterprises who sold the satellite rights to Zee Tamil and Zee Thirai, and the digital distribution rights to ZEE5 and its video-on-demand service Zee Plex.

Valimai Movie Release Date:

Valimai was released on 24 February 2022. Apart from Tamil, the film will be released in dubbed versions of Hindi, Kannada and Telugu languages along with the original version.

• In the Valimai shooting, Thala Ajith cooked his special Biryani for Kartikeya and his crew members on the last day of Pune schedule.
• Ajith performed a bike stunt without a body double, however, the actor lost his balance while performing a stunt, and fell off the bike.
• This film marked the second collaboration between Ajith, Vinoth and Kapoor after Nerkonda Paarvai (2019).
• The writer and director H. Vinoth wrote the script in mid-2018 even before the production of the film began. He initially had written the script with another actor in mind, and with Ajith’s involvement, he had to make changes in the script.
