About Tracker TV Series
Tracker is an American action drama television series created by Ben H. Winters, adapted from Jeffery Deaver’s 2019 novel The Never Game. The show stars Justin Hartley, along with Robin Weigert, Abby McEnany, Eric Graise, and Fiona Rene.
Produced by 20th Television, Tracker was initially greenlit for a pilot in July 2022 before receiving a full series order in December 2022. Filming took place in British Columbia, Canada, utilizing various locations around the Vancouver metro area and Vancouver Film Studios. In March 2023, the series was officially titled Tracker. On March 4, 2024, CBS renewed the show for a second season.
Casting began in January 2021 with Justin Hartley in the lead role as Colter Shaw. In September 2022, Mary McDonnell was cast as Mary Dove Shaw, followed by Robin Weigert, Abby McEnany, and Eric Graise. In April 2024, Melissa Roxburgh and Jensen Ackles were announced as guest stars. Later, in August 2024, it was reported that Robin Weigert would not return as a series regular for the second season. Floriana Lima joined the cast in September 2024 in a recurring role, followed by Chris Lee in February 2025.
Filming for the second season commenced on July 16, 2024, in British Columbia, Canada, and is expected to wrap on April 1, 2025.
Tracker Release Date
Tracker premiered on CBS on February 11, 2024, following Super Bowl LVIII, except in Kansas City, where postgame victory coverage delayed the airing to a sister station. In Canada, the series aired simultaneously on CTV. The second season debuted on CBS on October 13, 2024.
