Storyline:

About Flight Risk Movie:
In December 2020, Jared Rosenberg’s screenplay Flight Risk was voted onto the year’s “Black List” of the most-liked unproduced screenplays in Hollywood. In May 2023, it was reported that Mel Gibson would direct, and Mark Wahlberg would star. By January 2024, Topher Grace and Michelle Dockery had joined the cast.
The film, based on Rosenberg’s script, is a co-production between Icon Productions and Davis Entertainment Company. Gibson directed and co-produced the film alongside Bruce Davey, John Davis, and John Fox.
Principal photography began in Las Vegas in June 2023, with additional filming in Mesquite, Nevada, and Alaska. Filming in Mesquite took place over two days in July 2023. Despite the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike, the filmmakers received approval to continue filming. Production concluded in August 2023. Wahlberg shaved part of his head daily for his role as a balding pilot, opting not to use a bald cap.
Flight Risk Release Date:
Flight Risk is scheduled for release in the United States by Lionsgate on January 24, 2025. It was originally set for theatrical release on October 18, 2024.
