Storyline

Burned-out ex-baseball player Hank Thompson unexpectedly finds himself embroiled in a dangerous struggle for survival amidst the criminal underbelly of 1990s New York City, forced to navigate a treacherous underworld he never imagined.

Caught Stealing is an upcoming American crime thriller film, based on the book of the same name by Charlie Huston. Directed by Darren Aronofsky, it stars Austin Butler, Matt Smith, Zoë Kravitz, and Regina King.

In March 2024, a new film adaptation of Charlie Huston’s novel was reported to be in development at Sony Pictures. Huston adapted his own novel for the screenplay, with Darren Aronofsky set to direct and Austin Butler attached to star. The film is being produced by Protozoa Pictures.
