About The Twits Movie
The Twits is an upcoming American animated adventure comedy film, based on Roald Dahl’s 1980 novel of the same name. Directed by Phil Johnston, the film features the voices of Natalie Portman, Emilia Clarke, Margo Martindale, and Johnny Vegas.
The film entered development at Vanguard Animation in February 2003. However, in April 2022, after Netflix acquired the Roald Dahl company, it was revealed that the film would be distributed by Netflix, replacing the previously announced animated series based on the book.
In September 2023, a first-look picture of the film was released, revealing that Phil Johnston was going to direct the feature and co-script the movie alongside Meg Favreau. Animation production had commenced in September 2023, which was the same month when it was announced that Jellyfish Pictures was doing animation for the movie.
