Reuben, a carefree playboy and sole heir to a media mogul, has always mocked his father’s obsession with ratings and dating game shows. But to secure his inheritance, he must fulfill his late father’s final wish: marry the most beautiful girl in the world.
About The Most Beautiful Girl in the World Movie
Robert Ronny used to work for TV stations in Indonesia. His disdain for free-to-air TV is well-documented. He often criticizes Indonesian TV stations for only caring about ratings and putting out low-quality shows and programs that are actually bad for the public.
In the press conference, Robert Ronny stated that one of the main themes of the film is the unrealistic demand for women’s beauty standards nowadays because of media, especially social media. He said that this concerns him and shared the same concern with the movie The Substance. Even though completely different genre but he thinks Coralie Fargeat the Writer and Director of The Substance has the same concern as he is regarding this matter.
This is Reza Rahadian and Robert Ronny’s fifth collaboration, following Kapan Kawin, Firegate, Kartini, and Critical Eleven.
It took 3 different buildings to ‘create’ a WinTV office building that matches Robert Ronny’s vision.
Robert Ronny, the writer and director is a Poker avid fan. This is the third time he put a game of poker between his characters in his movie.
