The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder Storyline

Picking up years after the original animated series, the new series follows Timmy Turner’s cousin, Vivian “Viv” Turner, and her new stepbrother, Roy Raskin, as they navigate life in Dimmsdale with the help of their fairy godparents, Cosmo and Wanda, who are given to them by a now-older Timmy when he leaves for college.

The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder is an American live-action animated comedy television series developed by Christopher J. Nowak. It is a sequel of Nickelodeon’s original animated series The Fairly OddParents.

The series was announced in February 2021, with Butch Hartman and Fred Seibert returning as producers, and Christopher J. Nowak serving as both executive producer and showrunner.

The series started production in July 2021. The animation was outsourced to the Tijuana-based Boxel Studio. All 13 episodes were released on Paramount+ on March 31, 2022. In January 2023, the series was removed from Paramount+ and Nickelodeon’s official website in the U.S.

Timmy Turner is excited to gift his cousin Vivian with his fairy godparents on her first day living in Dimmsdale. When her new stepbrother Roy accidentally witnesses the transfer, Viv and Roy are forced to share Cosmo and Wanda.

Roy and Viv turn the people of Earth into mindless dancers after wishing to write the catchiest song of all-time as a way to save their parents’ dance studio.

Season 1, Episode 3: King Roydas (March 31, 2022)

Roy wishes that everything he touches turns to gold despite Viv’s objections; when his “Roydas Touch” inevitably goes awry, Roy is determined to save the town from an angry wolf and prove his wish is still golden.

To prove Dimmsdale’s nemesis Vicky is only mean because she’s lonely, Viv wishes that Vicky would become best friends with the next person she sees, which is Viv; Roy then wishes he were Vicky’s best friend to prove Viv wrong.
