Sooryavanshi Movie (2021):

SOORYAVANSHI is a Bollywood action film written and directed by Rohit Shetty and produced by Reliance Entertainment, Rohit Shetty Picturez, Dharma Productions, and Cape Of Good Films, based on a screenplay by Yunus Sajawal and an original story by Rohit Shetty.

It traces the acts and serious antics of DCP Veer Sooryavanshi, the chief of the Anti-Terrorism Squad in India. The movie casts Akshay Kumar as ATS chief DCP Veer Sooryavanshi opposite Katrina Kaif with a supporting cast of Jaaved Jaaferi, Vivan Bhatena, Niharica Raizada, Jackie Shroff, Gulshan Grover, Abhimanyu Singh, Sikandar Kher, and Nikitin Dheer.

Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh in extended cameo appearances reprise their roles of Singham and Simmba from the franchise’s previous films.

In 1993 Mumbai was rocked by 14 back-to-back blasts which changed the image of the city forever Kabir Shroff managed to solve the case within two days but feels guilty that mastermind Omar Hafeez and Billal eloped from the city. Omar Hafeez over the years planted many attacks in the country and formed a sleeper cell network lead by his son Riyaz Hafeez.

Years later Riyaz’s fake identity is traced in Jaisalmer where a team lead by DCP Veer Surya goes to arrest him with the arrest of Riyaz underworld gets shaken and Omar asks Bilal to return to India. Surya finds from Kabir that in 1993 1000 ton RDX came in the city out of which 400 ton RDX was used and 600 ton still lies nowhere and the only person who as the idea of this is Bilal.

Surya is going through a tough patch in his personal life as his duty comes first he is very much close to arresting Bilal who commits suicide. Surya finds that Bilal was in the country after years and also traced missing RDX and met old friend Usmani. Sooryavanshi gets a hint that some big attack is going to happen in Mumbai city with activities of Bilal where sleeper cells will be active. In order to save the city, two other tough cops Bajirao Singham and Sangram Bhalerao (Simmba) join Surya in the mission.

Initially locked for theatrical release on 24 March 2020, it was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in India.
