About Somebody Somewhere TV Series

Somebody Somewhere is an American comedy drama television series starring Bridget Everett that was created by Hannah Bos and Paul Thureen. It stars Bridget Everett, Jeff Hiller, Mary Catherine Garrison, Danny McCarthy, Mike Hagerty, Murray Hill, Jane Drake Brody, Jon Hudson Odom, and Heidi Johanningmeier.

HBO ordered the series Somebody Somewhere in July 2020. Bridget Everett, who plays the lead character and serves as executive producer, is the inspiration for the show. Jeff Hiller, Mary Catherine Garrison, Danny McCarthy, Mike Hagerty (in his last acting job before passing away in May 2022), Murray Hill, Jon Hudson Odom, and Heidi Johanningmeier were among the cast members revealed in June 2021. HBO renewed the show for a second season in February 2022.

Lockport and Warrenville, two suburban Chicago neighborhoods, served as the primary filming locations for the series. Because of the talent pool in Chicago, the producers decided to film there; Hannah Bos stated, “We cast a lot of characters out of Chicago, and the talent pool was insane.” Having so many options for so many roles was thrilling. We had a lot of amazing performers to fill our universe, and I am prejudiced because I adore the Chicago way of acting, which I think is really grounded, authentic, and nuanced.”

The series premiered on HBO on January 16, 2022, and was renewed for a second season in February 2022 that premiered on April 23, 2023. The series was renewed for a third season in June 2023. In August 2024, it was confirmed the series would end after the third season, which premiered on October 27, 2024.
