About Sarkaru Vaari Paata Movie:

Sarkaru Vaari Paata is a Telugu action drama film written and directed by Parasuram. It is produced by Mythri Movie Makers, 14 Reels Plus and G. Mahesh Babu Entertainment and stars Mahesh Babu, Keerthy Suresh and Samuthirakani in lead roles.

The film score and soundtrack is composed by Thaman S with cinematography and editing by R. Madhi and Marthand K. Venkatesh respectively.

The film was announced in May 2020 with a formal launch ceremony taking place in November 2020.

Principal photography begun in January 2021 in Dubai and later also took place in Hyderabad, but was put on hold in April 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Filming resumed in July 2021 and took place in Goa and Spain before ending in April 2022.

Initially set to release in January 2022, Sarkaru Vaari Paata was deferred due to the pandemic and production delays. It eventually had a theatrical release on 12 May 2022 and received mostly mixed reviews from critics.

The film grossed ₹220 (equivalent to ₹233.11 in 2023)–₹230 (equivalent to ₹243.71 in 2023) crores worldwide, becoming the third highest-grossing Telugu film of 2022.

Sarkaru Vaari Paata Storyline:

Following the death of his parents, Mahi (Mahesh Babu) grew up in the USA to start a loan agency named Mahi Finance Corporation. He has his violent ways of extracting debts when debtors do not repay, and this changes after he falls for a woman named Kalavathi (Keerthy Suresh), who deceives him into granting her a loan for her studies, while in reality, she is a gambling addict. Upon realizing this, he tries to extract the debt from her and ends up returning to India, where he confronts her father Rajendranath, a powerful MP and industrialist based in Vizag. The conflict heats up when attempts are made on Mahi’s life and he reveals he is there to extract more than just Kalavathi’s debt.
