Rudra: The Edge of Darkness is a Hindi psychological crime drama web series directed by Rajesh Mapuskar and produced by Sameer Nair under the banner BBC Studios India and Applause Entertainment and distributed by Star India.
The web series Rudra is created for Disney+ Hotstar based on the British TV show Luther by Neil Cross. The series stars Ajay Devgn, Raashi Khanna and Esha Deol in the lead roles alongside Atul Kulkarni, Ashwini Kalsekar, Ashish Vidyarthi, Milind Gunaji, Luke Kenny, Vikram Singh Chauhan, and Hemant Kher are other important roles.
The six-episode first season was premiered on 4 March 2022 on Disney+ Hotstar. The first trailer for the show was released by Disney+ Hotstar on January 29, 2022.

Set in Mumbai, Rudra – The Edge of Darkness is a race-against-the-clock thriller that delves into the psyche of highly intelligent criminals and the detective who hunts them. Each episode in the series features a new threat even as the overarching series arc continues, portraying the grave personal cost at which DCP Rudraveer Pratap Singh pursues criminals and killers and the unlikely friendship that he forms with Dr. Aliyah Choksi, a genius sociopath.
