Rocketry: The Nambi Effect is an Indian biographical drama film based on the life of Nambi Narayanan, a former scientist and aerospace engineer of the Indian Space Research Organisation who was accused of espionage. It stars cast Madhavan as Nambi Narayanan and Simran as his wife Meena Narayanan.
The film Rocketry is written and directed by Madhavan and jointly produced by Madhavan, Sarita Madhavan, Varghese Moolan, and Vijay Moolan under the banner of Tricolour Films and Varghese Moolan Pictures, and distributed by Red Chillies Entertainment. - The multi-talented Madhavan is the writer, director, actor and producer of this film.
- The film is based on the life of ISRO Scientist Nambi Narayanan who was falsely accused of being a spy and arrested in 1994.
- In September 2012, director Ananta Mahadevan announced that he would be making a film on the story with Malayalam actor Mohanlal. The title was ‘The Witch Hunt’. The team were in talks with several production houses but the project eventually did not take off as planned.
