About Power Book IV: Force TV Series
Power Book IV: Force, or simply Force is an American crime drama television series created by Robert Munic. The series is a sequel and third spin-off to Power created by Courtney A. Kemp.
In August 2020, news broke that the series had officially received a green light, setting the stage for 10 episodes centered around Joseph Sikora’s character, Tommy Egan. At that point, Robert Munic was tapped to be the showrunner and executive producer, working alongside Courtney A. Kemp and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson. By February 2021, the cast expanded with eight new series regulars: Lili Simmons, Gabrielle Ryan, Isaac Keys, Shane Harper, Kris D. Lofton, Anthony Fleming III, Lucien Cambric, and Tommy Flanagan joining the lineup.
In May 2021, there was more exciting news as Jeremih was brought on board for a recurring role. However, in July 2021, creator Robert Munic stepped down as showrunner due to creative differences, with Courtney A. Kemp, overseeing all Power series, stepping in to fill his shoes.
On March 9, 2022, Starz announced the series had been renewed for a second season, with Gary Lennon taking over as showrunner. The momentum continued, and on December 15, 2023, Starz confirmed a third season renewal. However, on June 13, 2024, it was revealed that this upcoming third season will be the series’ final season.
