Storyline

About Made in Korea TV Series
Made in Korea (Korean: 메이드 인 코리아) is an upcoming South Korean Period drama, Political , Action thriller television series directed by Woo Min-ho written by Park Eun-gyo, Park Joon-suk starring Hyun Bin, Jung Woo-sung in the lead roles.
Inside Men (2015), The Drug King (2018), and The Man Standing Next (2020) filmmaker Woo Min-ho was confirmed to direct his first small screen political drama Made in Korea. Hive Media Corp, which has released groundbreaking films with both entertainment and cultural value in the form of energetic characters and acerbic commentary on the times, such as Inside Men, The Man Standing Next, Deliver Us from Evil (2020), and 12.12: The Day (2023), produced the series. And was penned by both Park Eun-gyo and Park Joon-suk.
Some news claimed that the series will be a spin-off of the 2018 film The Drug King but Hive Media Corp refuted it and claimed that “it is a completely different work”. Moreover, the budget was also reported to be ₩48 billion while MBC Entertainment reported it to be ₩70 billion but the production company refuted it as well.
On February 16, 2024, Hyun Bin was said to have been cast for the series. According to his agency, Vast Entertainment, he was considering making a guest appearance but had yet to be confirmed while Jung Woo-sung officially confirmed to lead the series. Hyun was officially cast to play out Jung’s rivalry on August 29, 2024. This is also the second collaboration between Hyun and director Woo following Harbin (2024). Jung Sung-il was announced to join the ensemble on July 31. On August 8, Won Ji-an and Seo Eun-soo both confirmed their appearance.

Disney+ announced that Made in Korea will be released exclusively on their platform in 2025.
