Storyline
Siddhu is an IAS officer who is waiting for his posting in AP. In the meantime, he falls in love with Swathi, who hails from Macherla and has issues with Rajappa. Things get heated up when Siddhu gets posted in Macherla.
About Macherla Niyojakavargam Movie
Macherla Niyojakavargam is a Telugu political action comedy film written and directed by M. S. Rajashekhar Reddy in his directorial debut. The film features Nithin, Krithi Shetty, and Catherine Tresa in lead roles, with Samuthirakani, Rajendra Prasad, Murali Sharma, Vennela Kishore, and Subhalekha Sudhakar in supporting roles. It was produced under the banner of Sreshth Movies, owned by Nithiin’s family.
The project was officially announced by Sreshth Movies on 10 September 2021, coinciding with Vinayak Chaturthi, and launched with a puja ceremony. It was produced in collaboration with Aditya Movies & Entertainments. Principal photography began in September 2021.
Macherla Niyojakavargam hit theatres on 12 August 2022 but received negative reviews from critics. Despite significant pre-release buzz, the film underperformed at the box office, collecting ₹15.75 crore in India and $69K in the US. The post-theatrical streaming rights were secured by ZEE5, where it premiered on 9 December 2022. Zee Telugu acquired the satellite rights, with the television premiere scheduled for a later date.
The Hindi-dubbed version, titled MCK: Macherla Chunav Kshetra, had a direct television premiere on Sony Max on 11 December 2022.
