Kingmaker (Korean: 킹메이커; Kingmeikeo) is an upcoming South Korean political drama film, written and directed by Sung-Hyun for Seed Film and screenplay by Byun Sung-Hyun and Kim Min-soo, while the film was produced by Lee Jin-hee and Park Jun-ho under the banner of Seed Film and distributed by Megabox JoongAng PlusM.
The film stars Sol Kyung-gu, Lee Sun-kyun and Yoo Jae-myung, the film depicts a politician who dreams of changing the world with an excellent election campaign strategist. Initially, the film was scheduled to be theatrically released on December 29, 2021, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was released on January 26, 2022, to coincide with the Korean New Year holidays.
