About Khauf Web Series
Khauf is a Hindi suspense-horror drama web series written and created by debutant Smita Singh, and directed by Pankaj Kumar and Surya Balakrishnan. It is produced by Sanjay Routray and Sarita Patil under the banner of Matchbox Shots.
The series stars Monika Panwar, Rajat Kapoor, Geetanjali Kulkarni, Shilpa Shukla, Abhishek Chauhan, Chum Darang, Priyanka Setia, Rashmi Zurail Mann, Riya Shukla, Aasheema Vardaan, Shalini Vatsa, Gagan Arora, and Satyam Sharma.
The two-minute and seventeen-second trailer, released on April 11, 2025, introduces us to Madhuri, who moves to New Delhi seeking a fresh start. She rents a room in a girls’ hostel rumored to be haunted. One night, after hearing someone banging on her door, she steps out — and what follows is a chilling encounter with a malevolent spirit.
Director Pankaj Kumar said, “Directing Khauf has been an intense and creatively fulfilling journey. This series is more than just a suspense-horror drama — it’s a deep dive into fear, trauma, and the unseen forces that shape our reality.”

Khauf Storyline
Set in a women’s hostel, surrounded by dense wilderness, the bone-chilling narrative follows Madhu, a young woman seeking refuge in a new city to escape the demons of her past. However, she soon realizes that her new room harbors secrets far more terrifying than she could have imagined. Under the garb of normalcy, there’s horror that lurks through, something that reeks of death and preys on her deepest insecurities and fears. As the sinister force tightens its grip, Madhu’s reality twists into a waking nightmare—one from which there may be no escape.
