About Karma TV Series
Karma (Korean: 악연) is an upcoming South Korean crime thriller television series written and directed by Lee Il-hyung, and starring Park Hae-soo, Shin Min-a, Lee Hee-joon, Kim Sung-kyun, Lee Kwang-soo, and Gong Seung-yeon.
It was announced in July 2023 that Lee Il-hyung, the director and writer of A Violent Prosecutor (2016) and Remember (2022), will adapt Choi Hee-seon’s 2019 serialized Kakao Webtoon Ill-fated Relationship into a six-episode drama. The production was overseen by Kakao Entertainment, Baram Pictures, and Moonlight Film.
Star News revealed in August 2023 that Park Hae-soo and Shin Min-a will both be appearing in the series. Both Shin and Park’s agencies responded to the report by saying they were considering the offer favorably.
A month later, Park, Shin, Lee Hee-joon, Kim Sung-kyun, Lee Kwang-soo, and Gong Seung-yeon were confirmed by Netflix as part of the ensemble cast of the crime thriller series.
