About I Know What You Did Last Summer Movie
I Know What You Did Last Summer is an upcoming American horror film directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, who co-wrote the screenplay with Sam Lansky after an initial draft with Leah McKendrick. It is the fourth film in the I Know What You Did Last Summer franchise, serving as a direct sequel to I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (1998).
The film stars Madelyn Cline, Sarah Pidgeon, Tyriq Withers, Jonah Hauer-King, and Chase Sui Wonders, along with Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr., both of whom are going to reprising their roles of Julie James and Ray Bronson from the first two films.
On Friday, December 13, 2024, it was officially announced by Jennifer Love Hewitt herself that she would be returning as Julie James in the new sequel. On September 23, 2024, it was also officially announced that Freddie Prinze Jr. had joined to reprise his character as Ray Bronson in the new sequel.
Camila Mendes was originally cast but dropped out due to scheduling conflicts with Masters of the Universe (2026).
Production was to be ready in October 2024, with principal photography already underway in New South Wales, Australia. Further filming continued in Los Angeles in February and March of 2025 and ended on March 13. Despite being held in the U.S., filming mostly took place in Sydney, Australia.
