Storyline
Se Hoon is a model student with good grades, but an unfortunate incident on the bus one day earns him the humiliating nickname of ‘Erector.’ The choir director, Won Dae, asks him to be his running mate for the upcoming student council election. Needing to rehabilitate his image, Se Hoon agrees, only to find out that he is Won Dae’s twelfth running mate. With his pride bruised, Se Hoon decides to join Sang Hyun, a walking luxury man known as the local social butterfly.

I Am a Running Mate (Korean: 러닝메이트) is a South Korean school drama television series co-written and directed by Han Jin-won, and starring Lee Jung-shik, Choi Woo-sung, and Hong Hwa-yeon.
I Am a Running Mate was invited as one of six drama series in the On Screen section of the 28th Busan International Film Festival on October 6, 2023, where three out of nine episodes were screened.
TVing announced on March 20, 2023, the production of TV series Running Mate, the directorial debut of writer Han Jin-won. Yoon Hyun-soo, Lee Jung-shik, Choi Woo-sung, Hong Hwa-yeon, Lee Bong-jun, Kim Ji-woo, Ok Jin-wook, and Yoon Do-gun were cast in the series. Acemaker Studio, a subsidiary content production company of Acemaker Movieworks is producing the series in co-production with Blade Entertainment and Running Mate Culture Industry Specialty Limited, distributed by TVING.
