Maurice “Maury” Beverley, a raspy-voiced Hormone Monster that helps adolescent males go through puberty. His clients in Big Mouth were Duke Ellington, Andrew Glouberman, and Matthew Macdell.
Rick, an elderly disfigured, but experienced Hormone Monster that helps people through words of enthusiasm. His clients in Big Mouth were Coach Steve and Nick Birch.
Todd, a zombie who works as an electrician at Human Resources.

John Gemberling as Tyler Pico, an immature teenage Hormone Monster that was fired from his position for working with Lionel in the second season of Big Mouth. He previously worked as Gavin’s assistant, who he gets constantly harassed and abused for his amusement, and serves as Barry’s own Hormone Monster.

Human Resources Storyline
This spin-off pulls back the curtain on the daily lives of the creatures Hormone Monsters, Depression Kitties, Shame Wizards, and many more that help humans navigate through every aspect of life from puberty to childbirth to the twilight years. It quickly becomes clear that though the creatures are the protagonists, they have a lot of humanity themselves.
About Human Resources TV Series
On October 3, 2019, Netflix announced a straight-to-series order for Human Resources, a spin-off set within the Big Mouth universe.
The series was executive produced by Nick Kroll, Andrew Goldberg, Mark Levin, Jennifer Flackett, Nate Funaro, and Kelly Galuska.
On June 14, 2021, the main cast was announced, with Nick Kroll, Maya Rudolph, and David Thewlis reprising their Big Mouth roles, alongside new cast members Brandon Kyle Goodman, Keke Palmer, Aidy Bryant, and Randall Park.
On October 15, 2021, Pamela Adlon joined the spin-off, reprising her role as Sonya the Lovebug, while Goodman’s and Palmer’s roles were revealed.
On January 12, 2022, Rosie Perez, Jemaine Clement, Thandiwe Newton, Bobby Cannavale, Henry Winkler, and Maria Bamford were added, with Cannavale, Bamford, Newton, and Clement reprising their Big Mouth roles.
The series premiered on March 18, 2022.
On March 1, 2022, an official trailer introduced new cast members, including Helen Mirren, Lupita Nyong’o, Chris O’Dowd, Harvey Guillén, Janelle Monáe, Mike Birbiglia, Tim Robinson, Hugh Jackman, and Ali Wong. Jackman and Wong had previously voiced characters in Big Mouth.
On April 18, 2022, Netflix renewed the series for a second season.
On April 24, 2023, it was announced that the second season would be the final season.
In May 2023, a trailer revealed additional cast members, including Florence Pugh, Miley Cyrus, Eugene Levy, Isabella Rossellini, Sam Richardson, Niecy Nash-Betts, and Jason Mantzoukas, with Mantzoukas reprising his role as Jay Bilzerian from Big Mouth.
The final season premiered on June 9, 2023.

Season 1, Episode 1: Birth When Sonya gets fired, an amateur Lovebug named Emmy steps in to help a stressed-out pregnant woman named Becca. Meanwhile, Maury struggles to celebrate his birthday, and Joe and Gil get trapped in an elevator, discovering a division of monsters dedicated to enlightenment.
Season 1, Episode 2: Training Day The Hormone Monsters’ constant fornicating disrupts the office, leading to mandatory sensitivity training. Walter takes Emmy to meet Yara, an aging client, while Pete clashes with Rochelle over financial advice for their shared client, Doug.
Season 1, Episode 3: Bad Mummies Lionel, the Shame Wizard, seeks his mother’s approval but stumbles upon a shocking secret about her and the Depression Kitty. Emmy struggles to help Becca bond with her baby, while Connie takes on the challenge of babysitting Maury’s unruly dicks.
Season 1, Episode 4: Rutgers is for Lovers Rochelle and Petra battle over Nadja’s college decision, fearing its impact on her relationship. Tensions rise between Becca, Doug, and their partners, while Maury’s pregnancy forces Connie to confront her fears of parenthood. Season 2, Episode 1: The Jizz Mitzvah On the eve of Montel’s Jizz Mitzvah, they shock everyone by expressing a desire to become a Shame Wizard instead of a Hormone Monster. Emmy gains a new client who is skeptical about romance due to the influence of her logic-driven rock, Van. Meanwhile, Pete is forced to admit he severed one of Dante’s three penises, putting Rochelle in an awkward position when Dante demands she stop being friends with Pete.
Season 2, Episode 2: The Tell-Tale Dick Pete finds himself haunted—literally—by Dante’s severed penis. Lionel panics when Gavin’s brother, Guyvin, starts asking uncomfortable questions about Gavin’s demise. Rochelle and Petra visit Alice, a woman with spinal muscular atrophy, alongside the embodiment of Hope, but a misunderstanding over a potential date causes Rochelle to resent Hope.
Season 2, Episode 3: Total RePaul Walter attempts to help his elderly client Paul move on from his deceased wife by taking him on a vacation, but Paul soon realizes Walter knows little about him. Meanwhile, Pete turns to Maury for advice on ridding himself of Dante’s severed penis after failing to destroy it multiple times. Elsewhere, Joe and Gil agree to remove a horde of lobsters from Emmy’s apartment in exchange for a special bagel, but the task proves unexpectedly difficult.
Season 2, Episode 4: A League of Their Hormone A softball game between the Hormone Monsters and the Shame Wizards takes a dramatic turn when Montel, now on the Shame Wizard team, becomes the star player, much to Connie’s frustration. Emmy’s efforts to help Sarah start dating go awry when discussions about Sarah’s mother surface. Meanwhile, a Hate Worm-infested Rochelle vents her anger through an unexpected tryst with Pete, leaving him deeply conflicted.
Season 2, Episode 5: Rochelle, Rochelle The episode explores two possible timelines: one where Rochelle fully embraces her Hate Worm nature, and another where she reclaims her identity as a Love Bug.
Season 2, Episode 6: Paul Me By Your Name Walter struggles when his Hormone Monster boyfriend, Simon Sex, moves in and proves to have some truly gross habits. Paul decides to date again in an attempt to move on from his late wife. Emmy’s curiosity about Sarah’s mother leads her to the Memory Bank, where human memories are stored—only to uncover more than she bargained for.
Season 2, Episode 7: Tony: The Life of an Office Cold A persistent germ named Tony spreads a cold throughout the office, leaving nearly everyone sick and struggling to function.
Season 2, Episode 8: Pity Party Mona and Lionel throw competing parties, leading to escalating chaos and an awkward situation for Maury and Connie. Meanwhile, Petra helps a non-verbal four-year-old find his voice, but when Alice gets involved, things spiral out of control.
Season 2, Episode 9: On the Daughterfront Emmy takes desperate measures to help Sarah experience love when her father—revealed to be Paul—asks her to clean out her childhood bedroom, stirring up bittersweet memories that force both Sarah and Van to reconsider their views on love.
