Storyline

The man from Joseon who jumped 400 years in time in search of true flavor! An authentic time-traveling culinary drama by Joseon Diner Heo Kyun.

Joseon, a historical time when status and regulations prohibited many things and discriminated against many people. Heo Kyun, a progressive and liberal thinker who dreamed of establishing a society where everyone can live equally without status system, was a problematic figure in Joseon. In the end, those ideas led to his exile.

At the moment of his death, he suddenly jumped 400 years and came to Seoul in 2024! He continues his life working in a restaurant with the mother and daughter who saved his life. Everything seems perfect at first However, due to the sudden accident, Heo Kyun becomes the chef of the restaurant and tries to discover the killer.

Heo’s Diner (Korean: 허식당) is an upcoming South Korean time travel fantasy romantic comedy television series written by Sung So-hyun, co-directed by Oh Hwan-min and Kim Kyung-eun, and starring Xiumin, Chu So-jung, Lee Se-on, and Lee Soo-min.

The series is based on the web novel of the same name by Jeon Seon-yeong.

In January 2024, Xiumin, Chu So-jung, Lee Se-on, and Lee Soo-min were confirmed to star. Produced by Whynot Media, Hakuhodo DY Music & Pictures, and Copus Japan.

Heo’s Diner K-Drama Release Date

Initially, the series was supposed to be released in 2024. In February 2025, it is confirmed to premiere on Netflix on March 24, 2025, releasing one episode every Monday and Tuesday at 17:00 (KST) and will also be available to stream on Wavve.
