Good Fortune Storyline
In Good Fortune, Ansari plays a down-on-his-luck guy who is working myriad jobs. He’s called by his friend (played by Seth Rogen), who lives in the Hollywood Hills, to do various jobs for him – put in a disco floor, fix the pool heater. Keanu Reeves “valley” angel makes it so Rogen’s rich guy situation is swapped with Ansari, so the latter has the former’s life.
About Good Fortune Movie
Good Fortune is an upcoming American action comedy film written and directed by Aziz Ansari, marking his feature directorial debut. Following the suspension of his initial project, Being Mortal, at Searchlight Pictures in 2022, Ansari shifted his focus to directing Good Fortune.
The film is produced by Aziz Ansari’s company, Oh Brudder Productions. It stars Keanu Reeves alongside Ansari, Seth Rogen, Keke Palmer, Sandra Oh, Stephen McKinley Henderson, and others.
Principal photography for Good Fortune was initially set to begin in May 2023. However, production was halted midway due to the 2023 Writers Guild of America strike. Filming eventually started in late January 2024 in Los Angeles, with Keke Palmer joining the cast.
Most of the filming wrapped before April 2024. However, during production, Keanu Reeves sustained an injury, and some scenes were reshot after he had recovered.
