• Park Bo-gum as Yoon Dong-ju, A former boxing gold medalist who becomes a police officer in the Violent Crimes Unit through the special recruitment system for medalists, which was revived after 11 years.
• Kim So-hyun as Ji Han-na, A former shooting gold medalist, once known as the “shooting goddess,” who now serves in the Violent Crimes Unit.
• Oh Jung-se as Min Joo-young, A 7th-grade civil servant at the Korea Customs Service, known for his diligence and sincerity, but hiding a great ambition behind his good-natured smile.
• Lee Sang-yi as Kim Jong-hyun, A special police officer and former silver medalist in fencing who had to quit due to an injury. He expertly wields a three-section baton to subdue criminals.
• Heo Sung-tae as Go Man-sik, A former bronze medalist in wrestling who is now the team leader of the Violent Crimes Unit.
• Tae Won-seok as Shin Jae-hong, A former bronze medalist in discus throwing who has transitioned into a police officer in the Violent Crimes Unit.

About Good Boy TV Series Series

Good Boy (Korean: 굿보이) is an upcoming South Korean television drama created by Lee Dae-il, directed by Shim Na-yeon, and starring Park Bo-gum, Kim So-hyun, Oh Jung-se, Lee Sang-yi, Heo Sung-tae, and Tae Won-seok.

Good Boy was officially added to the lineup of Studio&NEW dramas in February 2021. Lee Dae-il, who wrote Life on Mars (2018) and the first and second seasons of Chief of Staff (2019), wrote the script. Produced by SLL, Studio & NEW, and Drama House Studio. Joy News 24 announced that the cast and crew will have a full script reading on March 21, 2024.

Park Bo-gum and Oh Jung-se had been confirmed as main cast members in July 2023. In August 2023, Kim So-hyun had also been confirmed cast. Park and Kim were actually confirmed to play the main characters in January 2024, and in July 2024, their appearances were confirmed by Oh, Lee Sang-yi, Heo Sung-tae, and Tae Won-seok.

Principal photography began in late March 2024. On August 28, 2024, it was released that filming had been halted temporarily after Park hurt her leg during an action scene in Busan and was hospitalized in Seoul.

Good Boy Release Date

JTBC announced that the series is set to premiere on May 31, 2025.
