About Gadar 2 Movie:
Gadar 2 is a Hindi period action drama film directed by Anil Sharma and written by Shaktimaan Talwar. It is a sequel to the iconic cult film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha (2001) with Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma reprising their starring roles from the previous film.
Zee Studios, Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma officially announced Gadar 2: The Katha Continues on 15 October 2021 (Dusshera) on their social media accounts, revealing the release date 2022 with motion poster.
The first poster of the sequel titled Gadar 2 was unveiled on 26 January 2023 (Republic Day) and it shows Tara Singh, played by Sunny, with a hammer.
Gadar 2 was theatrically released on 11 August 2023 to mixed reviews from critics. A major commercial success, it grossed over ₹691.08 crore (US$81 million) worldwide against a production budget of ₹60 crore (US$7.0 million), becoming the highest grossing Hindi movie of the year, fourth highest-grossing Indian film of 2023, the ninth highest-grossing Hindi film of all-time, and the fifth highest-grossing Hindi film in India.
Gadar 2 Movie Storyline:
Gadar II brings back India’s most loved family of Tara, Sakeena and Jeete; 22 years after its predecessor. Set against the backdrop of Indo-Pakistan war of 1971, Tara Singh, once again, will face every enemy to protect the honor of country and family.
