About Final Destination Bloodlines Movie
Final Destination: Bloodlines is an upcoming American supernatural horror film directed by Zach Lipovsky. The story for the film was developed by Jon Watts, Guy Busick, and Lori Evans Taylor.
It is the sixth installment in the Final Destination franchise, following Final Destination 5 (2011). The film stars Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Teo Briones, Richard Harmon, Owen Patrick Joyner, Rya Kihlstedt, Anna Lore, Brec Bassinger, and Tony Todd, who reprises his role as William Bludworth.
In January 2019, New Line Cinema announced that a new installment of Final Destination was in development. By October of that year, series creator Jeffrey Reddick confirmed that a sixth film had been planned before the COVID-19 pandemic delayed production.
On September 23, 2022, Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein were officially announced as co-directors for the project. In March 2024, Warner Bros. Pictures announced that the film would receive a theatrical release, along with the reveal of most of the cast.
Principal photography was initially set to take place in Vancouver, British Columbia, from July to October 2023. However, production was delayed in mid-July due to the SAG-AFTRA strike. With Christian Sebaldt as the cinematographer, filming eventually took place in Vancouver from March 4 to May 13, 2024.
This marks the final film of actor Tony Todd before his passing. Despite reportedly being in poor health during filming, he persevered to reprise his iconic role one last time.
If the film stays on track for its projected 2025 release, it will arrive exactly 25 years after the original Final Destination debuted in 2000.
