Fear Street: Prom Queen is an upcoming American horror mystery thriller film based on the novel The Prom Queen (1992) from the Fear Street book series. It is the fourth installment in the Fear Street film series. Matt Palmer directed the film from a screenplay he co-wrote with Donald McLeary.
Produced by Chernin Entertainment, the film stars India Fowler, Suzanna Son, Fina Strazza, David Iacono, Ella Rubin, Chris Klein, Ariana Greenblatt, Lili Taylor and Katherine Waterston.
In July 2022, R. L. Stine revealed that discussions were underway for additional films beyond the original Fear Street trilogy. By October 2023, he confirmed that more Fear Street installments were in development. This was further validated by Scott Stuber, who announced that the next installment would be a standalone film based on Stine’s Fear Street book series. In January 2024, Stine confirmed that the project was officially in progress and would specifically adapt The Prom Queen from the series.
Principal photography began in Toronto on March 25, 2024, and wrapped on May 14.
