Dragon Movie Storyline
After a devastating breakup, troubled student Ragavan abandons his studies and enters the dangerous world of financial fraud, pursuing wealth and power while becoming entangled in escalating deception.
About Dragon Tamil Movie
Dragon is a Tamil romantic comedy-drama film written and directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, and co-written with Pradeep Ranganathan. Pradeep stars in the titular role alongside Anupama Parameswaran, Kayadu Lohar, George Maryan, Indumathy Manikandan, and K. S. Ravikumar.
The film marks Anupama Parameswaran’s fourth Tamil film after Kodi (2016), Thalli Pogathey (2021), and Siren (2024). Kayadu Lohar is also making her Tamil film debut with this film.
The film was officially announced on April 10, 2024, under the tentative title #PradeepAshwathCombo, marking the first collaboration between Pradeep and Ashwath. The official title, Dragon, was revealed on May 5, 2024.
Principal photography began on 5 May 2024 in Chennai, and the final schedule started on 4 October 2024.
The film’s first single, Rise of Dragon, was released on 2 January 2025, followed by Vazhithunaiye on 13 January 2025, and Yendi Vittu Pona, sung by Silambarasan, on 28 January 2025.
The first look poster was released on October 12, 2024.
It was released alongside Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam.
Dragon Movie Release Date
Dragon was released worldwide in theaters on 21 February 2025, after being postponed from its initial 14 February date. It will be available to stream on Netflix after its theatrical run.
