Storyline
When Baek A Jin was little, she endured domestic violence. To survive, she learned to hide her emotions and manipulate others by looking into their hearts. She is normally generous and kind to people, but she reveals her devilish side if someone angers her or for her purposes. With her beautiful appearance and her mastered talents, she is now a top actress. She has Yun Jun Seo, who has been by her side all of her life and he is willing to do anything for her. He is the only one she can rely on and feel comfortable with, but, for Baek A Jin, he decides to bring about her downfall.
Meanwhile, Kim Jae O is also a man who has been by Baek A Jin’s side his whole life. He suffered abuse from his father and felt a connection with Baek A Jin. Through her, he found a reason to live. Im Re Na is a top actress, who is a former idol. She has feelings for Yun Jun Seo.

Dear X (Korean: 친애하는 X) is an upcoming South Korean melo-thriller television series developed by Choi Ja-won, co-written by Lee Eung-bok and Park So-hyun, and starring Kim Yoo-jung, Kim Young-dae, Kim Do-hoon, and Lee Yul-eum.
Dear X was directed by Lee Eung-bok and Park So-hyun and written by Choi Ja-won, who won the 2018 KBS One-Act Drama Script Contest grand prize. It is based on a popular Naver Webtoon series of the same name by Vanziun. It was created by Studio Dragon, produced by Monster Union and Siwoo Company, and distributed by TVING.
On 4 June 2024, news emerged that Kim Yoo-jung had been approached for the series and was weighing up whether or not to take up the offer. Kim Young-dae is weighing up whether to make an appearance the next day. Whereas Osen exclusively reported that two of them were coming together to make an appearance. On 25 June, as per a SPOTV News interview, Kim Do-hoon was in negotiations after he had been offered the series. The next day, Hwang In-youp was offered and reserved for a special appearance.
TVING announced the cast list on August 8, 2024, including Kim Yoo-jung, Kim Young-dae, Kim Do-hoon, and Lee Yul-eum.
