Chhorii Storyline
Chhorii tells a haunting tale of a modern, young couple, Sakshi and Hemant, based in the heartland of India. Sakshi, who is 8 months pregnant, and Hemant are forced by challenging life circumstances to seek shelter in an isolated house surrounded by large sugarcane fields. The house is inhabited by an old couple who seem to know more than they tell. Unknown to Sakshi, there are mysterious evil forces in the fields who are after her and her unborn child. Even though she tries her best to save her unborn baby and herself, her sanity is affected by the scary sights of three mysterious kids and a charred monster, along with a frightening lullaby playing on an old transistor. Will Sakshi be able to get out of it safely? Will she be able to protect her unborn child?
About Chhorii Movie
Chhorii is a Hindi horror film directed by Vishal Furia, featuring Nushrratt Bharuccha in the lead role, alongside Mita Vasisht, Saurabh Goyal, Rajesh Jais, Pallavi Ajay, and Yaaneea Bharadwaj. The film is a remake of the Marathi-language horror film Lapachhapi (2017).
The film was officially announced on 28 May 2020, and the main shoot began on 25 November 2020, in Madhya Pradesh. After a month of intense shooting, the film wrapped up on December 23, 2020.
Chhorii Release Date
Chhorii premiered on Amazon Prime Video on November 26, 2021, and was met with positive reviews from critics for its suspenseful storytelling and Nushrratt’s powerful performance.
On 16 December 2021, the sequel Chhorii 2 was officially announced by film makers and will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on 11 April 2025.. The Sequel will feature Nushrratt Bharuccha and Soha Ali Khan in lead roles.
