About CBI 5: The Brain Movie:

CBI 5: The Brain is a Malayalam mystery thriller film directed by K. Madhu and written by S. N. Swamy. It stars Mammootty, Mukesh, Jagathy Sreekumar, Saikumar, and Renji Panicker.

Principal photography commenced on 29 November 2021 in Ernakulam. Mammootty joined the sets on 11 December 2021.

The film was released in theatres on 1 May 2022 and received mixed reviews from critics and audiences alike. It was praised for Mammootty’s performance and the nostalgic moments but criticised for its other performances, writing, length, old-school narration and climax. Still, it went on to become a commercial success at the box office.

CBI 5: The Brain Storyline:

A series of murders are happening in the city. With the police failing to solve the case, a team of CBI Officers under CBI officer Sethurama Iyer take up the investigation to resolve the mystery.
