About Bring Her Back Movie
Bring Her Back is an upcoming horror film directed by Danny and Michael Philippou and starring Sally Hawkins, Billy Barratt, Sora Wong, Jonah Wren Phillips, and Sally-Anne Upton. It is written by Danny Philippou and Bill Hinzman.
The film was officially announced by director Danny Philippou on November 20, 2021, when he posted on his Instagram:
“FINISHED THE SCRIPT to my second horror film ‘Bring Her Back’. FINALLY! Hoping to attach some producers after we finish shooting Talk to Me 🤞👻 should we write an action movie next??”
This confirmation came while the Philippou brothers were still working on their breakout horror hit Talk to Me (2023).
Principal photography for Bring Her Back began in June 2024. The Philippou brothers returned to their home state of South Australia, filming in Adelaide and surrounding areas, such as Lightsview. Filming concluded after 41 days.
Bring Her Back Movie Release Date
Bring Her Back is scheduled to be released in the United States by A24 on 30 May 2025. In February 2025, Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions acquired the international distribution rights to the film, excluding China, Russia, and Japan.
