Anaconda Storyline

A group of friends going through mid-life crises. They decide to remake a favorite movie from their youth but encounter unexpected events when they enter the jungle.

About Anaconda Movie

Columbia Pictures announced on January 24, 2020, that a reboot of the 1997 cult film Anaconda was in development, with Evan Daugherty attached to write the screenplay. In March 2023, it was revealed that Tom Gormican would direct the film.

This film marks the sixth installment in the Anaconda franchise and serves as a reimagining of the 1997 classic directed by Luis Llosa, which featured Jennifer Lopez and Ice Cube in lead roles.

In August 2024, Jack Black and Paul Rudd were announced as the film’s main stars. The following month, Daniela Melchior joined the cast. Later, in January 2025, Thandiwe Newton, Steve Zahn, Selton Mello, and Ione Skye were also added to the ensemble.

Principal photography began in January 2025 in Australia.

Anaconda is scheduled to be released in the United States by Sony Pictures Releasing on December 25, 2025.
