Akaal: The Unconquered (Punjabi: ਅਕਾਲ) is an Punjabi historical drama film written and directed by Gippy Grewal, who also plays a lead role. The film also features an ensemble cast, including Gurpreet Ghuggi, Nimrat Khaira, Princekanwaljit Singh, Nikitin Dheer, Mita Vashisht, Shinda Grewal, Ekom Grewal, Jaggi Singh, Ashish Duggal, Bhana La, and Jarnail Singh.

The film is produced by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Gippy Grewal, and Ravneet Kaur Grewal. The music is composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, with cinematography by Baljit Singh Deo and editing by Rohit Dhiman.

Akaal: The Unconquered was officially announced on November 5, 2024, along with its release date. Pre-production began the same month, and filming commenced on November 14, 2024, with a traditional puja ceremony.

On January 2, 2025, in celebration of Gippy Grewal’s birthday, the first-look teaser of Akaal: The Unconquered was released. The official trailers in both Hindi and Punjabi were released on March 18, 2025.

Akaal earned ₹85 lakhs on its opening day at the box office and ₹54 lakhs on the second day.
