About Devil May Cry Series
Devil May Cry is an upcoming adult animated fantasy action-adventure television series created by Adi Shankar and produced by Studio Mir. It is based on the Japanese video game franchise of the same name by Capcom.
In late 2018, Adi Shankar announced that he would be producing a TV series adaptation of Capcom’s Devil May Cry for Netflix. Shortly after the announcement, Dante’s longtime English voice actor, Reuben Langdon, confirmed that he was not approached to reprise his role.
In September 2024, it was revealed that Johnny Yong Bosch, known for voicing Nero in the games, would be taking on the role of Dante in the series. On March 11, 2025, a new trailer was released, introducing additional cast members.
The series was initially planned as an Amazon Prime animated show. However, Amazon later decided to sell the rights to Netflix, believing that Netflix would be the ideal platform for the series.
