Can Yaman is a Turkish actor and model known for his performances in romantic comedies. He gained widespread recognition for his role in Erkenci Kuş, earning the Golden Butterfly Award for Best Actor in a Romantic Comedy in 2018, followed by the Murex d’Or in 2019. Early Life & Education

Can Yaman was born on 8 November 1989 in Istanbul, Turkey. His paternal family has Albanian roots, with his grandfather hailing from Pristina and his grandmother from Skopje. He is also the nephew of football coach Fuat Yaman.
Yaman pursued his early education at Bilfen College before attending the Liceo Italiano di Istanbul, where he graduated as a top student. He is multilingual, fluent in Turkish, Italian, French, English, German, and also proficient in Spanish. In 2012, he earned a law degree from Yeditepe University and began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he connected with his future law firm partners.
By the age of 24, he was actively engaged in mergers and acquisitions and contributed articles to the tax section of Dünya newspaper. However, despite his success in the corporate sector, he realized it was not his true calling. During a summer break, a trip to Bodrum led him to meet his future acting managers, Cüneyt Sayıl and İlker Bilgi, ultimately paving the way for his transition into the entertainment industry.
Career
Can Yaman began his acting career in 2014 with Gönül İşleri. In 2015, he starred in İnadına Aşk and followed up with Hangimiz Sevmedik in 2016. His big break came in 2017 with the series Dolunay, which marked a significant milestone in his career.
From 2018 to 2019, he played the lead role in the hit Turkish romantic comedy series Erkenci Kuş, earning several national awards and international recognition, including a Murex d’Or for his performance.
Yaman also starred in the Turkish short series Bay Yanlış, produced by Gold Film and directed by Deniz Yorulmazer, which premiered on FOX in June 2020. His performance in the series earned him a nomination for Best Actor in a Foreign Series at the LATAM PRODU 2020 Awards.
In 2020, Yaman became the face of the Turkish clothing brand TUDORS. Later that year, he entered into an agreement with Luxvide, an Italian production company, to star in the international series Sandokan. The series, which took four years to write and design, is set to premiere in 2025.
In March 2021, Yaman guest-starred in the all-Italian series Che Dio ci Aiuti, playing the character of Gino. He then landed a leading role as “Francesco Demir” in Viola come il mare. The first season of the show, which began shooting in 2021, was a major success, leading to a second season in 2022, with both seasons airing on the Mediaset platform and drawing an average of 3.6-4 million viewers per episode. Due to its success, Mediaset quickly renewed the series for a third season, set to begin filming in spring 2025.
In winter 2022, Yaman filmed the international series El Turco, starring alongside Greta Ferro, Willian Kemp, and Slavko Sobin. Originally intended for Disney+, the series was later acquired by the production company Ay Yapim and is expected to release in 2025.
Looking ahead, Yaman will star in Sandokan, a TV series produced by Lux Vide, which is set to feature several well-known Hollywood actors. The series is expected to be previewed at the Venice Film Festival in 2025.
In June 2024, Yaman made the decision to delete his Instagram account, which had over 11 million followers, stating that he wanted to focus on his acting career without distractions from social media. As of now, Can Yaman does not have any active social media accounts.
Personal Life

Can Yaman has been linked to several high-profile relationships over the years. According to reports, he is deeply in love with Italian television presenter Diletta Leotta. The couple shared pictures together on social media, accompanied by heart emojis, though they turned off the comments section.
Between 2016 and 2017, Yaman was in a relationship with actress Bestemsu Özdemir for approximately eight months before their breakup was publicly confirmed in December 2017. Following this, he was linked to style consultant Rabia Yaman, who had previously been in a relationship with actor Şükrü Özyıldız.
During the filming of Erkenci Kuş, rumors circulated about a romance between Yaman and his co-star Demet Özdemir. However, neither of them openly addressed or confirmed the speculation.
