Storyline
‘Superman and Lois’ stars Tyler Hoechlin (Teen Wolf) and Elizabeth Tulloch (Grimm) as the world’s most famous superhero and comic books’ most famous journalist, dealing with all the stress, pressures, and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society.
About Superman & Lois TV Series
Superman & Lois is an American superhero drama series developed by Todd Helbing and Greg Berlanti for The CW, based on the DC Comics characters Superman and Lois Lane, created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster.
The series was announced in October 2019, with Todd Helbing, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and Geoff Johns serving as executive producers, and Helbing writing the script. On January 14, 2020, The CW officially greenlit Superman & Lois for a full series.
Production on the pilot was originally set to begin on March 23, 2020, in Vancouver, British Columbia, but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Filming eventually restarted in late August 2020, with the first season filming from October 21, 2020, to July 2, 2021, primarily in Surrey, British Columbia. The series premiered on The CW on February 23, 2021.
In March 2021, The CW renewed the show for a second season, which began filming on September 15, 2021, and concluded on May 5, 2022. It premiered on January 11, 2022.
The series was renewed for a third season in March 2022, with filming starting on September 6, 2022, and concluding on March 14, 2023. The third season premiered on March 14, 2023.
In June 2023, The CW announced a fourth season renewal, consisting of ten episodes. However, production was delayed due to the 2023 Writers Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA strikes. On November 2, 2023, it was revealed that the fourth season would be the final season, with the decision to end the series attributed to Warner Bros. Discovery to avoid competition with the upcoming Superman film in the DC Universe.
Filming for the fourth and final season began on January 11, 2024, and concluded on April 24, 2024. The cast and crew celebrated the conclusion of filming with a wrap party on April 25, 2024. The final season premiered on October 7, 2024.
