| About Pushpa 2: The Rule Movie:

Pushpa 2: The Rule is a Telugu action drama film directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, in association with Sukumar Writings. The film stars Allu Arjun in the titular role, alongside Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, Jagapathi Babu, Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, Dhananjaya, Rao Ramesh, Sunil, Anasuya Bharadwaj and Ajay. It is the second instalment of the Pushpa film series and the sequel to Pushpa: The Rise (2021).

Before the release of Pushpa: The Rise in 2021, it was announced that the film would be released in two parts. The first part debuted in 2021, while the sequel was initially planned for 2022. Approximately 10% of the sequel’s footage was shot concurrently with the first film. However, director Sukumar decided to revise the sequel’s storyline to enhance the audience’s experience and address feedback from the first film.

The script for Pushpa 2: The Rule was completed by July 2022 in Hyderabad, with Sukumar penning the screenplay and Srikanth Vissa contributing to the dialogues. The official title was unveiled on August 22, 2022, during a muhurat puja ceremony attended by the film’s cast and crew.

Principal photography began with a test shoot in Hyderabad on October 30, 2022. Subsequent filming occurred in Visakhapatnam in January 2023 for an action sequence and in Bangalore in March 2023. Despite rumors of production halts due to director dissatisfaction, filming resumed shortly afterward. In April 2023, forest sequences were shot in Odisha’s Malkangiri district.

By July 2023, an elaborate action sequence involving Allu Arjun suspended 100 feet above ground with a crane was filmed at Visakhapatnam Port alongside 50 stunt performers. Reports of creative differences between Allu Arjun and Sukumar in July 2024 delayed production but were later dismissed, with filming resuming in Hyderabad. Sets recreating 1990s and 2000s Japan and Malaysia were built at Ramoji Film City after logistical constraints prevented on-location shoots in Bangkok, Malaysia, and Japan. The climax was filmed in August 2024.

In November 2024, an item number featuring Sreeleela was shot in Hyderabad, following speculation about other actresses being considered. The film’s production concluded in late November 2024, wrapping up with a romantic song.

Promotions began with the release of the first-look poster and announcement video on April 8, 2023, coinciding with Allu Arjun’s 41st birthday. A teaser followed on April 8, 2024, for his 42nd birthday. A grand press meet on October 24, 2024, revealed the updated release date. Promotional events are scheduled in cities like Patna, Kolkata, Chennai, Kochi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Hyderabad. The trailer was launched on November 17, 2024, at Gandhi Maidan in Patna, followed by pre-release events in Chennai on November 24 and in Kochi on November 27.

The film’s post-credits scene showcased the continuation of the story with a cliffhanger and the title for the third part was revealed as Pushpa 3: The Rampage.
