Sushant KC was born on February 2, 1997, in Kathmandu. He completed his primary education at Budhanilkantha School and pursued his A-levels at Rato Bangala School, graduating in 2015. Following his higher secondary education, Sushant moved to Sydney, Australia, pursuing a business degree at UNSW College, in 2016 to further his studies. During this period, he began writing and composing his own songs, sharing them on YouTube, which helped him gain initial recognition.
Recognizing the importance of formal music education, Sushant later enrolled in Berklee Online, the online extension of Berklee College of Music, marking his first formal training in music. This opportunity allowed him to hone his skills and deepen his understanding of music theory and composition.
Career
Sushant KC’s music career began after completing his A-levels, writing songs, and learning guitar at home. In Sydney, Sushant enrolled in a business program at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). Despite his academic pursuits, his passion for music remained strong, leading him to invest in musical instruments and recording equipment.
His musical influences include The Uglyz band, Nima Rumba, and Western music artists like Ed Sheeran. Sushant collaborated with Rahul Pradhan for his debut album, “The Blue Figments,” which featured the hit song “Aama”. Sushant also released other well-received songs like Sathi, Aama, Sagarni, Jhyal Bata, Maya Ma, Hawa Le, and Risauney Bhaya, as well as the Hindi song Kya Kardiya which resonated with a broad audience and significantly boosted his popularity.
