Early Life & Education
Neetesh Jung Kunwar was born on May 26, 1994, and raised in Lalitpur, Nepal. As the only child of his parents, he grew up receiving immense love and care.
Known for his energetic and bold personality from a young age, he completed his schooling in Lalitpur and later earned a bachelor’s degree from Apex College, Mid-Baneshwor, Kathmandu. Coming from a well-off and supportive family, his parents have always encouraged his passions and career choices.
Career
Neetesh Jung Kunwar hails from a rich musical background, with his father being a member of the band Prism. Growing up in a musically vibrant environment, he was naturally drawn to music from an early age. Regular visits to his father’s jam room further fueled his passion and inspiration.
At just six years old, Neetesh picked up the guitar, and by the age of eight or nine, he had already started writing songs. His first composition, Nakhanu Hai Khaini, though unpublished, marked the beginning of his songwriting journey.
During his school years, he actively participated in various singing competitions. One notable achievement was his selection, along with his team, for the ICMC singing competition organized by KCM, where he also composed a song for the event.
Despite his deep passion for music, Neetesh initially hesitated to pursue it as a career due to concerns about financial stability and his family’s well-being. As a result, he took a corporate job at an auto company, where he worked for about two years. However, he soon realized that his true calling lay in music, and his passion ultimately outweighed his corporate ambitions.
Determined to follow his dreams, Neetesh left his job and began performing covers and live shows in collaboration with Channel Arbitrary. This period helped him refine his craft and build confidence as an artist.
In 2016, he took a major leap by launching his own YouTube channel and social media platforms to share his original music. Encouraged by Nepali YouTuber Sisan Bania, he uploaded his first homemade track, Guffai Ta Ho, on April 17, 2016, officially kickstarting his solo career.
Since then, he has released a series of hit songs, including Gedai Jasto Jindagi, Ashma, Hamro Nepal Ma, Pidit, Flirty Maya, Prathana, Nisthuri Mori, Saath Sadhaiko, and First Date, among others.
Neetesh’s contributions have left a lasting impact on the Nepali music industry, with his songs frequently trending on YouTube. Today, he is regarded as a versatile and talented artist, bringing a fresh and unique touch to Nepali music.
