About Saw XI Movie

Saw XI is an upcoming American horror directed by Kevin Greutert and written by Marcus Dunstan. It is a direct sequel to Saw X (2023) and the 11th installment of the “Saw” film series.

The latest installment, Saw X (2023) has grossed $111 million worldwide and received generally positive reviews from critics, and became the best-reviewed Saw film.

The film ‘Saw XI’ was confirmed on December 12, 2023, through an Instagram post, which features Roman numerals against a spooky “Saw” backdrop spelling out a Sept. 27, 2024 release date. It was shared alongside a simple caption: “The game continues.”

On October 2, 2024, Tobin Bell was confirmed to reprise his role as John Kramer (aka “Jigsaw”) in this film.

In December 2023, Lionsgate announced that a sequel, Saw XI, was scheduled to be released on September 27, 2024. In April 2024, the release date was changed to September 26, 2025, with another Lionsgate film, Never Let Go, taking the previous date. Marcus Dunstan began writing the script in December 2023.

It is the third film in the series to not be released in October and the second film in the series to be released in September, the first was “Saw X” (2023).
