Storyline
A Queen sends the powerful and feared sorceress Gray Alys to the ghostly wilderness of the Lost Lands in search of a magical power, where the sorceress and her guide, the drifter Boyce, must outwit and outfight man and demon.
About In the Lost Lands Movie
In the Lost Lands is a fantasy action adventure film directed by Paul W. S. Anderson, featuring a screenplay by Constantin Werner, based on a story they co-wrote. Based on George R. R. Martin’s short story of the same name, the film stars Milla Jovovich, Dave Bautista, Arly Jover, Amara Okereke, and Fraser James.
In February 2015, Constantin Werner acquired the rights to three short stories by George R. R. Martin: The Lonely Songs of Laren Dorr, In the Lost Lands, and Bitterblooms. He intended to combine all three into a single film, with Milla Jovovich cast as Gray Alys and Justin Chatwin as Boyce. However, this version of the film never materialized, and the project was ultimately put on hold.
The movie was stuck in Development for years at some point Keanu Reaves and Nicolas Cage were offered the role of Boyce.
Principal photography for the film began on November 14, 2022, at Alvernia Studios in Poland. After a 46-day shoot, filming wrapped in February 2023. The visual effects were handled by Herne Hill Media, the same team that previously worked on Anderson’s Resident Evil films and Monster Hunter.

In the Lost Lands was first released in Australia on 27 February 2025, and was released in the United States on March 7, 2025, by Vertical in North American territories and in Poland, and by Constantin Film Verleih in Germany.
