Erika and Gia get closer to their crushes Jake C. and Jake W. and consider asking them out to prom. The next morning, they wake up hungover and recall walking home when a car sped toward them. They return to the scene and are shocked to see a corpse covered by a moose—wearing Erika’s shoes.

They suggest that ghosts exist due to unfinished business. Erika decides her unfinished business is kissing Jake C., but when she arrives at his hangout, she finds she is too late—Jake C. is back with Riley.
3“Payback’s a Bitch”The Afterlifers warn Erika that if a ghost doesn’t resolve unfinished business before their body decomposes, they will haunt forever. While Erika basks in newfound popularity, Gia sulks.
