About Uninvited Movie:

Uninvited is a Philippine mystery crime thriller directed by Dan Villegas and written by Dodo Dayao. Co-produced by Mentorque Productions and Project 8 Projects, the film stars Vilma Santos, Aga Muhlach, and Nadine Lustre.

Originally titled Project Red, the film underwent expedited production due to Santos’ candidacy for Batangas governor in the 2025 elections. Interestingly, Santos also contributed significantly to shaping the story, despite Dayao’s primary writing credit.

This marks Villegas’ directorial return since 2018’s Hintayan ng Langit. Principal photography began in September 2024, with filming taking place in multiple houses, later edited to appear as a single sprawling mansion. The film had to be completed by the end of September to qualify for the Metro Manila Film Festival’s second batch of entries.

Released on December 25, 2024, by Warner Bros. Pictures, Uninvited debuted as part of the Metro Manila Film Festival. It is also slated to premiere at the Manila International Film Festival in Los Angeles on January 30, 2025, and is planned for theatrical screenings outside the Philippines. However, organizers have restricted online streaming during the festival run.
