Storyline
Billed as a true story about a secret British World War II organization; the Special Operations Executive. Founded by Winston Churchill, their irregular warfare against the Germans helped to change the course of the war, and gave birth to modern black operations.

The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is a 2024 action comedy film directed, co-written, and co-produced by Guy Ritchie. Starring Henry Cavill, Eiza González, Alan Ritchson, Henry Golding, and Alex Pettyfer, the film is based on Damien Lewis’s 2014 book Churchill’s Secret Warriors: The Explosive True Story of the Special Forces Desperadoes of WWII.
Paramount Pictures acquired the rights to the book in 2015, with Guy Ritchie joining as director in February 2021. The screenplay was penned by Arash Amel, with Jerry Bruckheimer producing. In October 2022, Henry Cavill and Eiza González were cast in lead roles, while Black Bear Pictures co-financed the project and handled sales. Additional casting, including Alan Ritchson, Henry Golding, Alex Pettyfer, and Cary Elwes, was confirmed in February 2023.
Filming commenced on February 13, 2023, in Antalya, Turkey, and wrapped in April 2023. On the same day production began, Lionsgate acquired U.S. distribution rights from Paramount, with select international rights sold to Amazon Prime Video.

The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare premiered in New York on April 13, 2024, and was released theatrically in the United States on April 19, 2024, via Lionsgate. It became available on premium video-on-demand services on May 10, 2024, followed by a home media release on DVD, Blu-ray, and Ultra HD Blu-ray on June 25, 2024.
