Storyline:
When a young American woman is sent to Rome to begin a life of service to the church, she encounters darkness that causes her to question her own faith and uncovers a terrifying conspiracy that hopes to bring about the birth of evil incarnate.
About The First Omen Movie:
The First Omen is an American supernatural horror film directed by Arkasha Stevenson and produced by David S. Goyer and Keith Levine under the banner of Phantom Four. The film stars Nell Tiger Free, Tawfeek Barhom, Sônia Braga, Ralph Ineson, and Bill Nighy.
In April 2016, a prequel to The Omen was announced to be in the works, with Ben Jacoby writing the script and Antonio Campos in talks to direct. By May 2022, 20th Century Studios began developing it, with Arkasha Stevenson making her feature directorial debut. David S. Goyer, Keith Levine and Gracie Wheelan are set to produce under the Phantom Four label, with Tim Smith also serving as an executive producer. Nell Tiger Free was cast in late August 2022. Filming was completed by January 2023.
20th Century Studios theatrically released the film on April 5, 2024.
The film’s eventual DVD and Blu-ray Disc release in North America will be the first Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment title to be managed and distributed by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment under a new home entertainment physical distribution deal.
