Resham Filili Storyline
The film follows the friendship, dreams, hopes and deeds of Resham and Hariya – both whethered by bad luck and misfortunes, must at any cost beat the oddest odds to save their lives from Dorje’s men.
About Resham Filili Movie
Resham Filili is a 2015 Nepali comedy-drama film written and directed by Pranab Joshi and produced by Madhav Wagle. The film stars Vinay Shrestha, Menuka Pradhan, Karma Shakya, and Kameshwor Chaurasiya in the lead roles.
The film gained widespread attention after the release of its title song, Jaalma, on YouTube, which quickly became an instant hit. It was produced under the banner of V Motion Pictures, the production company founded by actor Vinay Shrestha. This marked the second venture of Vinay’s production house, following his debut production, VISA Girl (2012).
Dayahang Rai was initially offered the role of Hariya, but he declined. As a result, the script was revised, and Kameshwor Chaurasiya was brought in to play the character. Interestingly, Kameshwor improvised all his scenes and dialogues, adding his own unique touch to the role.
A sequel, Feri Resham Filili was released in Nepal on February 26, 2025 (14 Falgun 2081), coinciding with the celebration of Mahashivaratri.
Resham Filili Movie Release Date
Resham Filili was released on 24 April 2015, a day before the 2015 Nepal earthquake struck. The earthquake had a huge impact on the earning and screening of the film. However, the film earned about Rs 71 lakhs gross in just one day. The film was re-released on 28 August 2015 in Nepal.
